Class Descriptions

Pre-Dance
An hour Ballet/Tap/Tumbling class designed for 3-5 year olds. Dancers will begin to learn basic Ballet & Tap technique while being introduced to spatial and musical movements.

Tap
Teaches an awareness of beat, timing and rhythm. Instruction emphasizes the musicality of tap dance, rich in tradition and rhythmic possibilities.

Ballet
Develop the fundamentals of dance through control, poise, precision, fluency and grace using the technique and style of ballet.

Pointe
Pointe is an extension of ballet. It requires solid, consistent, and current ballet training coupled with strength in the legs and the core of the dancer's body.

Modern
A dance style that centers on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, modern dance encourages dancers to use their emotions and moods to design their own steps and routines.

Jazz
Jazz technique is based on the natural movement of the body and is designed to increase body control and coordination. Routines are set to modern and contemporary music.

Hip Hop
Street Dance style integrating jazz technique.

Acro
Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. Use dance elements from ballet, jazz, or even tap to add freedom of expression to basic tumbling skills.

Musical Theatre
The exciting world of Broadway comes to life with scenes, songs, and choreography from musicals old and new. Bring characterization to a song and choreography, define a character, and learn various musical theatre techniques and styles.

Special Needs



Rates & Policies

Our tuition is $55.00/period (4 weeks) for the full-price class, and this price includes 1 costume for recital. Any class after the first, whether it is the same child or a sibling, is less than half price, or $25.00/period not including a costume. Tuition is due and payable the first week of each tuition period, and we accept cash and checks only. By spacing out the price of the Recital tickets and one costume, the impact will not be as great at the end of the year. Tuition is non-refundable.

REGULAR ATTENDANCE is essential for the student's progress in all forms of dance. BE PROMPT as classes start and finish on time. COME PREPARED in proper attire- leotard, tights, shoes, hair tied back. A copy of the dress code is posted in each studio and the office and is available upon request. Please make sure the student's name is on all items of clothing and especially in their shoes. Classes missed due to illness or weather may be made up as the parents'/students' responsibility. Make up classes can be done in other classes on the same level or in make up classes with a student teacher. Student teacher make up classes are 30 minutes in length and can be scheduled at any time a qualified student teacher and a studio are available. We acknowledge Perfect Attendance with an award at the end of the year, but only for natural perfect attendance- make ups do not count toward Perfect Attendance.

The studio closes for inclement weather when the Parma City Schools close. If bad weather occurs on a Saturday. please call the studio.

Gum chewing, eating and drinking are not permitted while the student's are in class.

Siblings are welcome, but are expected to remain quiet and stay off the dance floor during classes. SIBLINGS AND PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO RESPECT THE DISCIPLINE OF THE CLASSROOM. Parents are allowed to watch claasses except for the following weeks:
  • 7th period- parents will be asked to sit out one week
  • 8th period- parents will be asked to sit out two weeks
  • 9th period- parents will be asked to sit out three weeks
